There is no other way to describe original art other than getting right to the point.
Original Art is a one-of-a-kind painting or sculpture or illustration etc. not to be confused with Original as in it's unique or creative.
Some Artist's however provide reproductions of their originals for a variety of reasons but that's a post for another day.
As for what is NOT original art:
A Print
A Poster and/or
a reproduced painting on canvas.
It doesn't mean that they're not worth buying or having but sometimes your better off buying an original because your money is invested in not only the original but the work of the Artist and their talent, again another post for another day.
I'll go into more detail about reproductions in a future post but I thought this would be a good start to describing Original Art.
