Are you keeping your paintings warm?

If you're an Artist are you providing comfortable temperatures for your paintings?

I paint with acrylics but I'm sure this applies to oil based paints as well considering so many artists today work with water based oils.

Regardless of how you varnish or treat your paintings once you've finished them it's important for you to keep your artwork at comfortable temperatures especially when you're in the process of creating.

If you live in an area where temps fall below freezing and your studio is not heated
you need to think of what you can do for you paintings.  The paint on your unfinished paintings can actually crack right on your canvas and completely destroy your work.

Which means if you're like me then you risk damaging several paintings at the same time because I'm always working on multiple paintings at the same time.

This also applies to paint...  if your paint freezes as soon as it melts you'll end up with water in with your paint and if done multiple times you risk ruining you paint by having too much water mixed in with your paint.

All of the products we use to create our Art is costly just something to think about to protect the products that help us earn a living.

Best Wishes,
Marti
